Passed away suddenly on Saturday April 15, 2017 at Grand River Hospital, K-W Health Centre, Kitchener as a result of being hit by a car. Harry resided in Kitchener. He was born 96 years ago in Mornington Township and was the son of the late Jacob and Magdalena (Steinman) Albrecht.

Beloved husband of Lucille (Jantzi) Albrecht whom he married August 21, 1948. Loving father of Bonnie Gingrich of Waterloo, Jay Albrecht of Kitchener, Darlene and Dwight Gingrich of Waterloo, Roger Albrecht of Kitchener, Marilew Albrecht and Steve Martin of Clifford, Matthew Albrecht and Meagan Earle of Roseville. Sadly missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren Tara and Jed and their children Jack and Isla, Jason, Jadyn, Jennifer, Cindy and Cam, Zoe and Nate, Cayla and Chris, Dustin and Adrielle and Tyler. Dear brother and brother-in-law of George Albrecht of Owen Sound, Ervin Albrecht of New Hamburg, Eileen Woolner of Kitchener and Doris Jantzi of Hensall. Remembered by Sylke Spiller and many nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his son Timothy (1980), son-in-law James Gingrich (2004), sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Selina and Enos Boshart, Clara and Alvin Schlegel, Verna and Carl Siemon, Lorne and Emma Albrecht, Emmanuel and Laurene Albrecht, Lena and Robert Shantz, Armand and Elenore Albrecht, Edith Albrecht, Marjorie Albrecht, Gordon Woolner, Irene and Rudy Jutzi, Ralph and Violet Jantzi, Iona and Walton Bowman, Orval Jantzi and 10 half brothers and sisters

Harry was a faithful member of First Mennonite Church, Kitchener where he had been an adult Sunday School teacher. He was active in volunteering at Mennonite Central Committee and Witness for Peace. He enjoyed fixing cars and gardening.

Family and friends will be received at Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo tonight Tuesday April 18, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday April 19, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Thursday April 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at First Mennonite Church, 800 King Street East, Kitchener. Pastor Nancy Brubaker to officiate. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to First Mennonite Church or the Mennonite Central Committee. Arrangements entrusted to Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg.
