Dows - Funeral services for John F. Rockow, 76, former Dows resident who died Monday at his home near Barron, Wisconsin will be held at 2 pm Friday at the First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with the Willim Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rockow, a farmer, was born October 17, 1894 in Williams, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rockow. He was married to Agnes Lentz in February 1923 in the Vernon Lutheran Church.
They farmed in Vernon township until 1946 when they moved to a farm near Barron.
Mr. Rockow is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. E.E. (Donna) Matson of Dows; three sons: Melvin, Eau Clair, Wisconsin; John Jr., Cumberland, Wisconsin and Arnold, Barron; five brothers: Will and Ed, both of Dows; Frank, Williams; Paul, Dumont and Erick, Almina, Wisconsin; three sisters: Mrs. Ed Buntenbach and Mrs. Myron Behrens, both of Garner and Mrs. B.A. Rankin of Iowa Falls.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
