HAWKINSVILLE - William Beaufort Mathews, 78, of Route 2 died Tuesday in Warner Robins. Services will be held at 3 p.m. today in Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Fort Valley. The Rev. Adrian Burrell will officiate. A native of Fulton County, Mr. Mathews was a Protestant. He was retired from the construction business. Survivors include two brothers, Frank S. Mathews of DeQuincy, La., and Lawrence G. Mathews of Chester, Va.; and two sisters, Emily M. Schurmer of Los Angeles, Calif., and Betty M. Swift of Roswell.
