SCHROEDER
ARCADIA — Aloysius (Louis) Schroeder, 76, of Arcadia, died Friday, Sept. 28, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. John's Church, Arcadia, by the Rev. C. A. Ahmann. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements are in charge of the Twit Funeral Home, Carroll, where friends may start calling at 7 p.m. Saturday. The rosary will be recited at 8 and 8:45 p.m. Saturday and at 3, 8 and 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Schroeder was a son of Bernard and Katharine Rehker Schroeder. He was born on a farm one and one-half miles southeast of Arcadia.
On Jan. 29, 1918, he married Johannah Pille at St. Francis Church, Maple River, with the Rev. August Meyer officiating at the ceremony. They farmed one and one-half miles southeast of Arcadia until retiring and moving into Arcadia in 1956.
Surviving with his wife are nine children: Mrs. Clem (Dorothy) Mueggenberg, Orville, Mrs. Wilbert (Ruth) Lussman, Vincent and Duane of Arcadia; Ivan of Elma; Mrs. Harold (Mercedes) Renze of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. A. R. (Ethel) Hesson of Wilmer, and Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Wolterman of Westside; also 35 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. George Berger of Milwaukee, Wis.; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ed Schroeder of Arcadia.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, five brothers and four sisters.
