"Died on the Car
Heart Failure Kills Mrs. Martha Duncan of Raytown.
While on board an Eighteenth Street car yesterday morning, on her way to Kansas City to be treated for heart trouble, Mrs. Martha Duncan of Raytown had a sudden attack of heart failure. The car was stopped at Highland Avenue and Mrs. Duncan was carried into W. P. Murphy's dry goods store. One of the bystanders hurried out to summon a doctor, but Mrs. Duncan died before one could be found. Dr. S. H. Ragan, Mrs. Duncan's son-in-law, and Deputy Coroner Wheeler were notified of the death. Both went to Murphy's store, arriving at nearly the same time. "
