Salt Lake Tribune on June 1, 2005. Jetta Burningham Whyte 1920 ~ 2005 BOUNTIFUL-Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away Monday, May 30, 2005 at the age of 84, with her family at her side. Mom was born October 27, 1920, the youngest of 10 children, of Bry and Jennie Turner Burningham. She married her sweetheart, David Whyte, June 16, 1941. Later they were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. In her earlier life she was known for her hard work, gardening, happy smile and taking care of her family. She was a member of the Bountiful 3rd and 16th LDS Wards, some of her callings were both teacher and working in the nursery. She was a member of the Daughter of the Utah Pioneers. At South Davis Nursing home, she was known for her smile with a good attitude, and for her many songs and tunes she sung.

Survived by her daughters, Bonnie L., Linda Sue (Terry) White, Jackie Gailey; sons, Terry D. (Merrilee), Dan E. and Dave (Karen); 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents, 9 brothers and sisters, and baby son, Byron Andrew (shortly after birth). Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bountiful 12 Ward Chapel, 1475 North 300 West. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Friday morning from 12:45 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Lakeview Cemetery. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.
