William Vernor Dailey was the fourth child of James Lawrence and Elsie Dailey and was born July 15, 1884 in Montgomeryville. He and his brothers were very active.
William Vernor Dailey married Lena Vietta Rearick in Kittanning. The marriage was performed by Alderman Sloan and their attendants were Ella Rearick and Ray Barnett.
They lived in Templeton, Johnetta and Kiskimere, Pennsylvania. Their family consisted of seven girls and two boys. Two of the girls died at a very young age. Following are the names of William Vernor and Lena Vietta Rearick Dailey's children: Alice Claretta, Nancy Laretta, Vernice Ardessa, Irene Margaret, Marie Josephine, Gladys Zelma, Harry Vernor, Lillian Ivanor and David McKelvey.
William and Lena Rearick Dailey celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in May of 1954 at the Kiskimere Hall, Kiskimere. All their children attended with the exception of their son, Harry Vernor, who was killed in World War II.
William Vernor Dailey died of a heart attack at his residence in Kiskimere on May 15, 1955. He is buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, located outside of West Leechburg, Pennsylvania.
