Lucretia Jenkins was born August 9, 1931 as Lucretia Richardson of Detroit, Michigan to the late Mack Sr. (M.C.) and Lucille Richardson.

She accepted Christ at an early age and sang in the church choir. She was educated in the Detroit Public School system and graduated from John J. Pershing High School in 1948.

On October 2, 1948 she married the late Preston Seabrooks, Sr. and to this union three children were born, Ilene, Michael and Preston Jr. who all proceeded her in death.

She married Lewis Jenkins, January 21. 1975 in Chicago, Illinois.

Lucretia attended the Detroit Institute of Commerce in the 1960's and Wayne County Community College in the 1970's.

She had many great jobs throughout her career. She worked as a secretary in the McNamara building in downtown Detroit, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and at the Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant where she was recognized for 10 years of service as a Federal employee. Lucretia was excellent at shorthand, she enjoyed traveling, taking pictures and crocheting, but her most favorite thing was collecting salt and pepper shakers.

Lucretia had one brother Mack, Jr. and one sister, Marie Riley who both proceeded her in death.

On September 3, 2015, at the age of 84, God called Lucretia home.
