Sterling "Moes" as we called him attended public schools in Halifax County. He was baptized at New Bethel Baptist Church in Virgina.
Moes loved being outdoors and enjoying the outside. He did let his handicapped state stop him from enjoying life to the fullest. It was not strange to see some of his nieces and nephews pusing him around the neighorhood.
Most of his life he lived with his brother and favorite sister-in-law Thomas and Emma Brandon. He leaves to mourn his life, sixteen nieces, fourteen nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
