John Thomas Brandon, son of the late Mrs Virgie Ola and the late Samuel Harrison Brandon Sr, was born August 28, 1922 in Halifax, Virginia. Big Reds as we called him attended the public schools of Halifax. He and his brothers and sisters were baptist at the New Bethel Baptist Chirch in Virgina. At the age of 20, Thomas moved to Baltimore and he joined the Navy and met and married Emma Goods They were blessed with 12 children. They were married for over 47 years. Thomas loved people and enjoyed helping other. He was employed with the Baltimore City Sanitation department for 18 years. he remained there until his health failed. You would always see him standing inthe door, feeding his birds. He was a good man with a kind heart and is missed by everybody who knew him. Uncle Thomas was my Mother older Brother. He had a smile that could light up the sky! Very loved and missed by all the Brandon Family
