Early Life: Ina was born August 3,1922, in Springville, Utah, to Frank J. and Flossie Veneta Painter Sanford. She lived in Springville her entire life. She attended Springville schools and Brigham Young University.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: She married Dean A. Bird November 18, 1942, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She served in many church callings including ward Primary president, ward and stake Young Women president, ward and stake Relief Society president; taught Relief Society lessons for 32 years, served a mission with her husband in Iceland, and served as an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple for 14 years. She worked for several years as school lunch secretary. She was a member of the "We Readers" book club and enjoyed writing poetry. Ina Sanford Bird passed away Friday, January 13, 2017, at her home. She was 94.
Survived By: Her husband, Dean; her children: Janet (Mark) Clarke, Jack (Lynn) Bird, Garth (Bonnie) Bird, Vonda (Bruce) Louthan, Benson (Denise) Bird, Gena Bird, Marlon (Denise) Bird; 33 grandchildren; 109 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Clara (Gene) Averett.
Preceded In Death By: Her parents; and siblings: Lucile (Hugh) Heath, Barbara (Dee) Hatch, Dee (Denise) Sanford, Ruth (Frank) Brinton, Lavern (Max) Larsen, Carl (Dixie) Sanford, and Glen (Vonda) Sanford.
