"Eva Allene Bertram Tuggle was born January 22, 1925, in the Shearer Valley community of Wayne County, the daughter of the late William Terry and Artie Bertram. She passed away Wednesday morning, January 18, 2017 at the Cumberland Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Burkesville, reaching an age of 91 years.
On August 27, 1946, she united in marriage with James Paul Tuggle who passed away May 21, 2015. To this union three children survive: Janet and husband Gary Massengale, Danny Terry and wife Kathy Tuggle and Margaret Sue and husband Jimmy Upchurch.
Surviving are her grandchildren: Stephen and Tim Massengale and Kimberly Farlee, Daniel and Matthew Tuggle, Daphne Lewis and William Upchurch with great-grandchildren: Melody, Chloe, Stephanie, Gabriele, Shelby, Taylor, Breanna, Nathaniel, Logan, MaKenzie, Mason, Branton, Raelyn and Zayla.
Also surviving are her siblings: Roscoe Bertram, Arzella Hill and Ima Hancock.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Nina Slagle
Eva had accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady and was a lifetime member of the Taylors Grove Baptist Church where she remained faithful as long as her health allowed."
