He was a member of North Little Rock Church of God and a World War II Veteran Purple Heart recipient.
Survived by his wife, Loretta Burns; a son, John Allen Burns (Betty) of Hohenwald, Tennessee; and a daughter Nancy Carter (Ben) of Fort Pierce, Florida; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday December 5th 2005 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday December 6th 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road North Little Rock (501) 835-3515.
