The paralytic stroke that befell Tom Hiatt on the day of his wife's death less than two weeks ago, resulted in his death Monday. He was buried from the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon, Revs. H.H. Berry and W.N. Halsey officiating. Mr. Hiatt has been in a rather enfeebled condition for some years as the result of partial paralysis but kept at work as much as his strength would permit. He has been a resident of this community for years and bore a good name among us. He would have been fifty years old in April.
