BIG STONE GAP, Va. Beulah R. Adams, 86, passed away Monday (Sept. 15, 2008).
She was a lifelong resident of the area, born in Needmore, Va., and was the daughter of the late W.C. Robbins and Ora Etta Sturgill Robbins. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Big Stone Gap, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, N. Frank Adams in 1976; one sister, Dixie Wells; and one brother, Hershel Robbins.
Beulah was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend.
She is survived by two daughters, Robin Smith and husband, Matt Pug and Claire Barnette and husband, Randy, both of Big Stone Gap, Va.; two grandsons, Josh Barnette and wife, Stacy and Matt Smith, Jr. and wife, Lora, both of Big Stone Gap, Va.; one granddaughter, Leighann Barnette, Knoxville, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Zachry Barnette and Sarah Barnette, both of Big Stone Gap, Va.; one brother, W.C. Robbins, Jr., Wise, Va.; two sisters, Eva Owens, Norton, Va., and Nancy Light, Big Stone Gap, Va.; special friend and caregiver, Retha Cole, Dryden, Va.
Interment will be in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap, Va.
Pallbearers will be Randy Barnette, Matt Pug Smith, Josh Barnette, Matt E. Smith, Jr., David Bailey and Gary Harris.
Holding Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
