Funeral services for Mr. C T Mathews 73 of Barboursville, WV will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Delhi with Rev. Dwayne Butler and Rev. Bruce Wallace officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16th from 5-7 PM. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park Cemetery in Milton WV.
Mr. Mathews was a native of Delhi and went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Monday, November 14, 2016 in Monroe, LA.
He was a retired Assembly Line Worker for General Motors Co. and a retired Bishop with the Church of God Association out of Cleveland, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lonzy Clyde Mathews and Lula B Plunkett Mathews; his father and mother-in-law Ira Grafton Frame and Hazel Lee Frame; a grandson Travis Garcia; and six siblings, Juanita Williams, Christine Duckworth, L. C. Mathews, Lonette Guice, John Macklon Mathews and Judy Butler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Frances Frame Mathews of Barboursville, WV; two daughters Crystal Mathews of Ravenna, Ohio and Mechelle Garcia of Warren, OH; a son Bryan Mathews of Milton, WV; five grandchildren Erika Lovejoy, Earl Lovejoy III, Casey Garcia, Jordan Mathews and Destinee Mathews; and two great-grandchildren Mason Medhurst and Teegan Anderson.
He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, A. J. Mathews of High Point, NC, Joan Hale of St. Joseph, LA, Sharon Kozak of Akron, OH and Donnie Joe Mathews of Blanchard, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
