On 24 June 1900 John W. Hugill (b. Mar. 1849), wife Cynthia (b. Nov. 1860), children; Arthur (b. Mar. 1877), Harry (b. May 1879), William (b. Feb. 1881), Lettitia (b. Nov. 1882), Lora (b. Sept. 1884), Minnie (b. Jan. 1886), Edith (b. Oct. 1887), Pearl (b. Mar. 1890), Dora (b. May 1891) and Allice (b. April 1899) lived in Martin's Bluff Precinct, Cowlitz County, Washington. John and Cynthia had been married 24 years, having 12 children, 11 living. He was a blacksmith. They owned their home free and clear. Son, Arthur was a logging teamster. Harry and William were farm laborers. NOTE: Information as it appears on original image of this census. Some of it is incorrect. For instance; Lettie was born in 1883 and never known by Lettitia or used it, Lora was Laura, Allice was Alice and daughter, Leona (b. 1897) isn't listed at all.

Celebrates
Birthday

Mrs. Lettie Roe, Winlock, was honored last weekend at birthday celebrations marking her 90th anniversary. She was born June 18, 1883, near Kalama and has lived at Winlock the past 68 years.

On Saturday she attended the Winlock Egg Day Parade. In addition the day included a potluck dinner party in Mrs. Roe's honor attended by 75 guests.

On Monday, her birthday, more than 50 friends and relatives gathered to make the day a happy occasion for Mrs. Foe[Roe]. Guests came from Port Angeles, Mt. Vernon, Salem, Portland, Coos Bay, Lincoln City, Ore., Longview, Kalama, Silverdale, Olalla, Tacoma, Centralia, Chehalis, Napavine and the Winlock area.
