Rochester resident Doris Winona Anderson passed away at the age of 96 on Monday, March 15. She was born on May 11, 1907 in Winlock, Washington to Eldon and Lettie (Hugill) Roe.
In 1931 she married John Fred Anderson in Vancouver, Washington. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Doris loved to cook, sew and can vegetables from their abundant garden.
Survivors include a son, Michael of Seattle; a daughter, Kathy Lloyd of Rochester; two sisters, Edith Studer of Battle Ground and Irene Gossman of Nine Mile Falls; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Memorial Day weekend, Monday, May 31, at Winlock Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Interment will commence during the gathering.
Services are under the direction of Cattermole Funeral Home in Winlock.
