Joseph was born in Homer City, PA. The son of Ignatius and Mary (Ondrejik) Sokolovsky.
Joe had 5 brothers/sisters: Anna, Michael, Victor, Pauline and Helen and 3 half brothers; John, Stephen M and Andrew Zamesko.
He married Sophie Mae Pavkov in Barberton, OH on April, 19, 1948; they had no children.
He was employed by they Ford Motor Co for 34 yrs in Quality Control, a WWII Marine Corps Veteran and a member of Barberton Moose Lodge 759.
My dad died when I was 5 yrs old; so I asked uncle Joe to do the honor of giving me "away" at my wedding. He was so choaked up, all he could do was nod his head "yes".
