Mike was born in Graceton PA the son of Ignatius and Mary (nee Ondrejik) Sokolovsky . He moved to Barberton, OH and was a meat cutter at Bosin Market for 20 yrs. He later moved to Monahans TX and also worked as a meatcutter. He married Madge (nee Lewis) on April 20, 1953 in Liberty TX. They had no children. He served our country in the Army during WWII.

He had 5 brothers and Sisters: Anna, Victor, Helen, Pauline and Joseph and 3 half-brothers: John, Stephen M and Andrew Zamesko.

I spent a month with Uncle Mike and Aunt Madge in the summers of 1967 and 1969. I had a wonderful time exploring Monahans and playing with the kids near his home on S Franklin St. Uncle Mike had a dune buggy and we would go racing around the desert and dirt roads near Monahans. They were both wonderful people and I sure wish they lived closer so that I could have visited more often.

***** A very special thanks to JoyceE for sponsoring this memorial and to Joyce Phipps for taking the grave photos.
