Henry Arledge married Rubye Carlisle on 9 June 1932 in the decorated parlors of the First Baptist church of Abilene where they stood beneath an arch of greenery and were united in the holy rites of matrimony, the service begin read by the pastor of the Winters Baptist church. Miss Carlisle is the accomplished daughter of Mrs. M.W. Carlisle of Waco. she was a teacher in the Knox City school for the past two years during which time she won a distinguished place in the community and the love and friendship of all who know her.

Henry Arledge is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Arledge of Roscoe, Texas. He with his brother, Roy Arledge own the ice factory in Knox City and Stamford. Henry is the manager of the Knox City plant.
