Arlis E. Goodman passed away, with his family by his side, on Dec. 18, 2006. Dad was born on Aug. 5, 1911 to Hettie & Joseph Goodman in Johnson-Wiley, OK. He married the love of his life, Pearl Slatten in 1935. Dad and Mom lived in Scott, OK where they had 7 daughters. They later moved to Lookeba, OK on his mother's farm, where he and Mom made a wonderful home for us girls. After Mom's death in 1987, and after his retirement, he moved to Yukon, OK. He was well known for his sense of humor and playing practical jokes. He also was a very caring and giving man and we will miss him dearly. Arlis is survived by his 7 daughters, Gail Fox, Nada Wilson, Nelda Robinson, Thelma Sellick, Ann Crutcher, Marie Terry, and Sharon Carlton and their families, which include 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson, and numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pearl, all 10 brothers, grandson, Larry Fox and granddaughter, Dema Robinson. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 21, 2006 at the Lookeba Methodist Church. Services are under the direction of BingerHackney Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Lookeba Cemetery.
