Mrs. Esther Colley one of Ray Co. oldest resident died recently at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rowena Shoemaker near Rayville. Mrs. Colley was born in Ray County January 24, 1828. She was the mother of 8 children, 3 of whom survive. J.C. Turnage, Armstrong, Wm. Turnage, L.M. Turnage, Perry. Mr. Turnage lost his life in the Civil War. and Esther married Samuel Colley who died 35 years ago.
