Bernard John Belker was born 18 July 1903 in Quincy, Illinois, to Bernard Anthony Belker, and his wife, the former Louise Herold.

"Bernie" Belker, as he was familiarly known, worked for Gardner Denver manufacturing in Quincy Illinois, as a machinist. He was a member of Lodge 822, International Association of Machinists. He was one of the charter members of the Quarter Century Club at Gardner Denver.

Bernard J. Belker belonged to St. Francis Catholic church, and to its Holy Name Society.

Mr. Belker belonged to Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Bernard John Belker passed away aged 59 at his Quincy, Illinois residence. A brother, Aloys Belker, predeceased him.

Surviving to mourn was a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Hunter; sons: Loren Belker, Eugene Belker, and Edward Belker; eight grandchildren: Mrs. Kay Land, Linda Hunter, and: Jeffrey Belker, Diana Belker, Daniel Belker, Kevin Belker and Debbie Belker.

Siblings also survived to mourn the loss of Bernard J. Belker. They were: brothers Charles Belker, Albert Belker, Jerome Belker, Joseph Belker, and Reverend Landelin Belker, O. F. M.

And sisters: Mrs. Raymond Brinks, Mrs. Larry Siebers, Mrs. Howard Smelser, and Sisters Mary Concetto S. S. N. D., Mary Albert S. S. N. D., and Mary Luiza S. S. N. D.

Reverend Landelin Belker, O. F. M., celebrated a high requiem mass for the repose of Bernard John Belker. The mass was held at St. Francis Catholic church in Quincy, Illinois.

Reverend Martin Wolter, O. F. M., was Deacon; and Revernd Angus Vos, O. F. M., served as sub-Deacon.

Reverend Terry Niebrugge, O. F. M., and Reverend Loyola Knoblock, O. F. M., and Reverend Seraphin Tibesar, O. F. M., were in the Sanctuary.

Father Landelin Belker and Father Martin Wolter presided graveside over services held at Calvary cemetery in Quincy, Illinois.
