"Paul K. Dorr passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, Oct. 14, 1971 at his home, after a long illness. Age 61 years. He was born April 10, 1910 in Saginaw, and has been a lifelong Saginaw County resident. He married Monica C. Hogan in Saginaw in 1933. She survives him. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hemlock, and its Ushers Club. He was a past member of the Hemlock-Merrill Knights of Columbus Council #2291, and the Hemlock Lions Club. He was a past Vice-President of Production Credit Association for many years. He and his brother Frank Dorr owned and operated the Dorr Brothers Dairy in Saginaw for 23 years, and in 1940 they purchased the Joseph Fordney Farm in Hemlock, which then became the Dorr Brothers Dairy Farm. In 1956, he entered in Real Estate business, and presently was associated with Morgan Real Estate in Saginaw. Surviving besides his wife, are two sons and two daughters, Dr. Richard P. Dorr, Ann Arbor; Mrs. William (Deanna) Siler, Sylvania, OH; Mrs. David (Mary Ann) McDonald, Warren; Michael J. Dorr, at home; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Leo R. Dorr; and John M. Dorr, both of Saginaw; August J. Dorr, Bay City; Frank W. Dorr, Weidman.
Funeral service will take place 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hemlock. Rev. Fr. Charles O'Neil will officiate, with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cederberg Funeral Home in Hemlock after 2 p.m. Saturday, where they will meet with relatives for a Bible Vigil 7:30 p.m. Sunday."
