"Mrs. Monica C. Dorr, widow of Paul K. Dorr, passed away suddenly Friday morning, Aug. 12, 1977 at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor. Age 67 years. Monica Hogan was born Nov. 2, 1909 in Gaines, MI. She was married to Mr. Dorr on June 28, 1933. He passed away Oct. 14, 1971. Mrs. Dorr was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hemlock, its Altar Society, the League of Catholic Women of which she was past president. She was past president of the Parish Council, and was a graduate of Central Michigan University. She taught junior high school for many years in Hemlock. She was intern teachers consultant for Michigan State University, retiring in 1975. Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Dr. Richard P. Dorr, Ann Arbor; Mrs. William (Deanna) Siler, Saginaw; Mrs. David (Mary Ann) McDonald, Warren, MI; Michael J. Dorr, Temperance, MI; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Donald (Virginia) Grigg, Saginaw. Two grandsons predeceased her .
Funeral service will take place 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hemlock. Rev. Lawrence Pashak will officiate, with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Saginaw. Friends may call at the Cederberg Funeral Home in Hemlock after 7:00 p.m. Saturday where they will meet with relatives at 8:00 p.m. Saturday for a Bible Wake Service. The Knights of Columbus, Father Neuman Council No. 2231 will pray the Rosary at 9:00 p.m. Sunday. Those who so desire may make memorials to the Paul and Monica Dorr Educational Memorial Fund."
