"John M. Dorr passed away Wednesday, June 29, 1994 at his home. Age 89 years. He was born March 29, 1905 in Saginaw. He married Loretta P. Herzberg on September 20, 1927, and was married for 66 years. She survives him They had resided in Florida for 44 years, during the winter season. He was a self-employed farmer and dairyman. Mr. Dorr was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Surviving besides his wife, are several nieces; and nephews. Four brothers, Leo; August, Jr.; Frank; and Paul Dorr, predeceased him.

Funeral service will take place 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 1994 at the Snow Funeral Home, 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Brendan Wroblewski, O.F.M., will officiate, with entombment in St. Andrew's Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Friday. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to V.N.A./Hospice Partners in Caring."
