Uncle Eddie was the third son born to Leo Lloyd Williams and Ethel Agnes Van Gelder. He has two brothers, Harold Lloyd Williams and George Walton Williams.
After World War II, the three brothers went their seperate ways, only staying in contact until their mother died in 1948, then they lost contact with each other. Their father Leo had died 10 Oct 1939.
Edward Robert Williams Enlisted in the U. S. Navy on 12 Mar 1945 in New York, NY, and was stationed onboard the USS Brontes (AGP 17), USS Macon (CA 132), and USS Albetross (E-AMS-1). He also attended Yeoman School for 14 weeks. On 02 Sep 1948 he reenlisted at the U. S. Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL, and was later assigned to the USS Diachenko (APD 123). Enlisted ratings held were: Apprentice Seaman, Seaman 2nd, Seaman 1st, Y3, and Yeoman 3rd. He received the following medals: Korean Service, United Nations, China Service, European Occupation. He was discharged Honorabley from the U. S. Navy on 12 Jan 1953 at the Recruiting Station, Boston, MA. Total military service was 07 years, 09 months, and 20 Days. He lived his later years in Sacramento California and was a asphalt contractor.
