MARION D. FISHER BORN JANUARY 3, 1929 IN JOHNSON CITY, NY Died June 5, 2010, in Modesto, CA. Preceded in death by son Eric Peet, 1997; husband Ed Williams, 1981; husband Ray Fisher, 2009. Survivors include sisters Kay Vlach, Modesto, CA; Phyllis Noxel, Montrose, PA; daughter Judith Marinel, husband Larry, Rio Oso, CA; son David Peet, wife Joan, Vacaville., CA. Grandchildren Susan Bumps, husband Mike, El Cerrito, CA; Sirena Vessel, husband Cody, Hot springs, AR; Eric Peet, wife Jennifer, Modesto, CA; Kevin Peet, Modesto, CA. Great-grandchild, Alex Cronin. Many nieces and nephews. Marion owned a Fashion Two-Twenty make-up studio in Stockton, CA during the 1960's, 1970's, and early 1980's. She was also known as the 'Rose Lady' for her handmade satin roses for weddings and gifts. She then moved to Groveland, where she lived for 13 years. While there, she worked at the Groveland Pharmacy, and the Groveland Hotel. Later she owned a hair studio and gym. She was involved in many civic improvements, and she helped out or acted in many musicals. She moved to Jamestown, and in 1996 started volunteering at the Senior Center, where she was known as the 'Sunshine Lady'. The local newspaper, the Union Democrat, wrote an article, dated Monday, June 10th, 1996, along with a picture, about her endeavors. She also put in and maintained the memorial garden at Rawhide Park in Jamestown. She belonged to the Tuolumne Garden Club. Later she moved to Modesto, where she first lived in the 1950's. She lived at Standiford Place, then at Orangeburg Manor. Both homes where she had many friends. She enjoyed gardening, painting, singing, playing cards, and the great outdoors.
