RAYMOND RAY'' CHARLES FISHER JUL 30, 1927 - JUN 11, 2009 Born in Brownsdale, MN and Died in Santa Clara, CA. He worked as a Auto Body Repairman and Business Owner. He is survived by his caring wife Marion , and his sons Judson and David . He is preceded in passing by his sons' mother Joyce and his eldest son Joseph. In addition to his wife and sons Ray is survived by his brothers Robert (Bob), Roger (Pat), and Royce, sister Ruby, his stepchildren Judy and David, and his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Raymond is also survived by 8 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Raymond operated Lincoln Park Garage in San Francisco until his first retirement upon which he chose to move from the Bay Area to his beloved Sonora . Ray returned to work in his profession of Auto Body Repairman and he continuously worked for Kelley Motors in Jamestown until his eventual retirement. Ray was a World War II Veteran having served in the Navy after enlisting at the age of 15 by falsifying his birth records in order to serve his country. His flat feet would have disqualified him so he walked on the outer edges of his wet feet to fool the Navy doctors! He may have displayed a bit of dishonesty here, but he was a truly honest fine and decent family man and had a huge group of friends throughout his life. Ray served his sons as their Little League coach and participated in Y-Indian Guide where he met many lifelong friends. Ray took his boys on innumerable camping trips and taught them dedication to family, principles, and honesty. Ray also served his community as a member of the Pacifica CA Jaycees, Jamestown CA volunteer fireman, and as a man of principle and integrity. Memorial services for Raymond Fisher will be held 2 PM Thursday, June 18th at Terzich & Wilson Funeral Home, 225 Rose Street, Sonora, CA 98370. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave, 7th Floor, New York , NY 10001. www.modbee.com/obituaries
