Auron, 100 years old, was born 10 January, 1905 in Winigan, MO, the son of James Arthur and Esther May (Wallace) Brown. He attended Hackler School, helped his parents farm, and rode his horse to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church each Sunday evening to fill and light the lamps for the evening sevice. 14 May 1931, Auron and Lelia Pearl Falconer, of Purdin, MO were married in Brookfield, MO. She preceded him in death 5 March 1990.
Auron was a farmer all of his life. He knew the names of all the trees and had a special touch with animals. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, near Bucklin, and had been a board member of White School.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Louise Esther and Bertin White, O'Fallon, MO and Virginia Ruth Baker Keenan and husband Robert Keenan, Turney, MO; one son, Harold Wayne Brown, St. Catharine; 11 grandchildren, Harold Wayne Brown,2nd, Lorrie Crochet, Joy Curtiss, Darren Baker, Valetta Jane Barton, Melissa Long, Lisa Nelson, Kathryn Louise (Kathey) Round, Lydia Smith, John Bertin White, and Robert Dale White; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Jewell, Eldon, Prentiss and Clifton Brown; 2 sisters, Nylene Morlan and Opal Stauber.
