He leaves to mourn his absence his widowed mother, Mrs. Maggie Barrett, of Kellerton; two brothers, Charles Lloyd of Kellerton; Rowe Dean of St. Paul; two half brothers, William Lee of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Jesse Cross of Popular Bluffs, Mo. Three brothers, Ora Lafayette, George Emmet, Floyd, one half brother James S (at birth) and the father have preceded him to the great beyond.
Alpha has lived most of his life in Kellerton, having graduated from the public schools in 1911. He attended business college at Chillicothe, Mo., in 1912.
He united with the Christian church at Kellerton during the ministry of Lawrence Wright, in 1908.
Although he has been a sufferer for twenty years he has always been of a happy and sunny disposition. No one ever heard him complain nor did he solicit sympathy for himself.
Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ by E. E. Lister and interment in the Maple Row Cemetery, Located at Kellerton, Appanoose, Iowa
