Janell Brown, 92, passed away on July 10, 2016 in Midland, Texas. She was former of resident of Sweetwater.

Ms. Brown was born in Fisher County, Texas in March 2, 1924. She was married on March 9, 1946 to Charles Alvis Brown. Janell was a member of Beta Sigma PHI, member of the Home Demostration Club of Kermit, and a member of the Pink Ladies of Kermit Hospital. She tutored at the Pyote Childrens Home. Janell was a member of the 4th and Elm Church of Christ in Sweetwater and a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Kermit. She was a member of Goods Sam Club. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary. Janell loved crafts and was a expert seamstress.

Survivors include: Son- Steve Brown and wife, Maggie, of Midland; Daughter- Sharla Kimbrough of Galveston, Texas; Brother- Roland Cardwell of Sweetwater; Grandchildren-Shannon Roach and husband, Leon, of San Angelo, Amanda Heiser and husband, Brantley, of Midland, Christopher Kimbrough of Dallas,TX, Charlie Kimbrough of Louisville, Kentucky, Kathryn Gengler and husband, Brian, of Galveston,TX; 9 Great-Grandchildren; and 2 Great Great-Grandchildren.

Janell was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brown, her father, Leslie Cardwell, her mother, Marvin Rachel, her sisters, Linda Dunlop and Mildred Anderson, and her grandson, Jeff Brown.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Kimbrough, Charlie Kimbrough, Brantley Heiser, Leon Roach, Mike Giesler and Leslie Anderson.
