MRS. CARDWELL

Sweetwater - Mrs. Marvin (Rachel) Cardwell, 68, died about 4:40 p.m. Friday at the Simmons Memorial Hospital. She had been in ill health for several years and was a resident of the Holiday Retirement Center.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lamar Street Church of Christ with Larry Fluitt, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery under direction of Patterson-McCoy Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cardwell was born in Morris County on Nov. 17, 1900. She married Lester [sic] Cardwell in San Benito on Jan. 19, 1921. They moved to Sweetwater in 1941. He died in 1953.

Survivors include a son, Roland, of Temple; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Anderson of Temple, Mrs. Janell Brown and Mrs. Linda Dunlap, both of Kermit; four sisters, Mrs. Adrian Harvey and Mrs. Redden Busby both of Sweetwater, Mrs. Finis Penn of Dallas, and Mrs. Roy Brown of San Angelo; a brother, Roy Justice of Dallas, 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
