Daughter of Andrew Jackson and Mary Jane (Wilson) Kifer wife of David Reid Curll.

Mrs. David R. Curll — Emma Alwilda (Kifer) Curll, widow of David Reid Curll, died at her home at Curllsville, Pa., Saturday, November 28, 1936, aged 85 years and 10 days. She had been ill but a short time and just recently friends and neighbors celebrated her 85th birthday. Mrs. Curll was a resident of the Curllsville section all her life. Born November 18, 1851, she was the daughter of Andrew and Mary Jane (Wilson) Kifer. On May 11, 1868, she was untied in marriage to David Reid Curll, and to their union five children were born, all of whom survive; W. D. Curll, Petersburg, Ind., H. K. Curll, Harrisburg, Pa.; Dr. C. L. Curll, Pittsburgh; Mrs. A. W. Neely, Foxburg, and C. V. Curll at the Curll homestead. Of her father's family one brother and one sister survive, namely; M. C. Kifer of Sligo, and Mrs. E. A. Watson of New Bethlehem. Funeral services were held at her late home at Curllsville Monday of this week, and were conducted by Dr. J. W. Frase of this place, and Rev. J. T. Howarth of Sligo. Interment took place in the Licking Cemetery at Churchville, under the direction of Morticians R. F. Mateer & Son, of this place.
