Mr. Barb was the son of the late Homer and Lena Berta Dellinger Barb. He was a veteran in the United States Army having served in the Korean War. Mr. Barb received the Purple Heart. He worked for Perry Engineering in Winchester, VA for 20 years. He was a member of the Mountain View Church of the Brethren and VFW Post # 7780 both in Mathias, WV.

Surviving with his wife of 62 years are two sons, a brother, three sisters and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
