William Henry Barb, 94, of Fulks Run, VA died August 11, 2013 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 16, 1918 in Shenandoah Co., VA, and was a son of the late Homer William and Lena Bertie Dellinger Barb.

He worked for Rockingham Poultry and Walker Manufacturing before retiring. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of New Dale Church of the Brethren in Mathias, WV, and a member of the Lost River VFW Post 7780.

On November 2, 1945 he married the former Evilee Combs, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Homer "Nick" Barb and wife Shirley, Lee Roy "Buck" Barb and wife Cathy all of Mathias, WV, Larry Junior Barb and wife Joyce "Irene" of Fulks Run; two daughters, Sharon E. Wilkins and husband Johnny of Mathias, Bonnie "Sue" Caplinger and husband Denny of Broadway; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; loving and special caregiver, Viola Fulk.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Revs. Scott Payne and Ernest Halterman will conduct a funeral service 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at New Dale Church of the Brethren. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
