Pauline B. "Polly" Barb, 81, of Winchester, VA, formerly of Mathias, WV died on Sunday, October 1, 201 a the Winchester Medical Center.
Polly was born on April 6, 1936 in Mathias, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph C. and Clara B. Williams Strawderman. She was a member of the Mountain View Church of the Brethren near Mathias. Polly loved flowers and working in her yard.
Polly married Elbert H. "Hosie" Barb on February 19, 1954 in Mathias, WV. Mr. Barb died on July 5, 2016.
Surviving are two sons: Franklin B. "Frank" Barb; William C. Barb both of Winchester, VA; a brother Jake Strawderman of High View, WV; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two sons: Rodney Barb and Wayne Barb.
A funeral service will be held at the Mountain View Church of the Brethren, 2647 Lower Cove Run Rd, Mathias, WV 26812 on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Olan Bailey. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Family will recieve friends on hour prior to the serive.
