Millie married John Starkey and they are in the 1850 Polk Census as Duggans for some reason, whether enumerator error or what is not known. The exact same family, minus John, are in the Polk 1860 census with a couple of children born after 1850. Their children are Anna, Elizabeth, Mary Malinda, Thaney, Mahala, Robert and Florence.
An article in the local newspaper tell the story of the shooting of John Starkey and excerpts can be seen on his Findagrave memorial.
Millie is last seen on the 1880 census, age 55, with son, Robert, in Monroe County, so with the missing 1890 census, it is not known when she died or where buried, but we add this memorial in the cemetery where her daughter Anna is interred, and links in hopes some researcher will have that info in a Bible or other record and share.
