Charles A. Sweet was born in Standish, MI the son of Joseph and Monica (Pietrusinska) Sweet. He married Betty Rose Bilkey on August 22, 1936 in Angola, IN. He was the loving father of James (Jean) Sweet and Joann Sweet Gallagher. Charles was an electrician by trade and belonged to the IBEW. He was a member of Masonic Welfare Lodge F&AM, Order of the Eastern Star#457. He participated in the famous Sit Down Strike at Flint Fisher Body through which the UAW was born. Charles played Triple A baseball, loved hunting, fishing and golf.
