Monica Pietrusinska was born in Pittsburgh, PA one of twelve children to Albert and Marianna (Dajewska) Pietrusinski. She moved to Standish, MI as a young woman. There she met and married Joseph Sweet. Joseph was a farmer and a widower who had two young sons, Roy and Martin Sweet that Monica raised as her own. Together they became the parents of Charles, Marie, Andrew, Thomas, Leonard and Elaine Sweet. They moved to Flint, MI in the late twenties. Monica worked as a housewife and full time at the Durant Hotel as a chambermaid. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and later Saint Agnes in Flint. Monica passed away at the age of 80 years and was interred in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery near her husband Joseph and her son Leonard. Monica was a very loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Aunt and Sister.
