DUNCAN; Hazel I. Stephens, 83, who resided in her native Duncan most of her life, died Oct. 8, 1984, at Morenci Hospital.
Mrs. Stephens had been a cafeteria worker at the Duncan School from 1949 to 1962, the last 11 years of which she was the facility's manger. In 1983, she was honored as the oldest Duncan native during the town's centennial celebration.
Survivors include her daughters, Norman O'Dell, Maxine Gilliland, Nadine Elms and Susan Romney; sons, Thiel and Wilmer "Wimp"; two sisters and a brother, 18 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
