Mrs. Alley was born June 18, 1890, in Illinois [all census data indicate she was born in Missouri], daughter of William and Catherine Little Chapman. She was married to Ralph E. Alley June 23, 1909, at Norborne.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Alley of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Williams of Riverton, Wyo.; a son, Dale Alley of Kansas City; a brother, Harry Chapman of Princeville, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Fern) Christian of Braymer; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was a 62-year member of the United Methodist Church and a member at Chillicothe since 1958. She was a member of the Autumn Leaves Club; the Eastern Star, of which she was past matron; the Republican Women's Club; and attended Mary Martha Sunday school class. She attended school at Norborne, lived in St Clair county for several years and lived near Ludlow from 1915 to 1958. She had lived in Chillicothe since 1958.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Friday at the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Clinton B. Galatas officiating. Burial will be in the Monroe Cemetery at Ludlow." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, December 5, 1973
