Born in Jersey City to Scandanavian immigrants, she relocated with her parents and four siblings to Lyndhurst in 1924. Three additional siblings were born there, where their father had built a home just prior to the Great Depression. She later met and married Lyndhurst native Joseph Pavero. There they raised ther daughter and two sons. Ellen was an executive secretary at Bambergers, Newark retiring at 65. In 1987, Ellen and Joe celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They moved to Nutley and Fort Myers, FL for several years until eventually returning to Nutley permanately. Predeceased by her husband, Ellen was survived by her three children, nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, a remaining sister and many nieces & nephews.
