Delores Ann Foner, daughter of Wilson and Hilda (Jacobs) Foner, was born on June 7, 1936, in Glenwood MN. She grew up on a farm near Glenwood and was a graduate of Glenwood High School.
On September 11, 1954, she was united in marriage to Jerry M. Leedahl at Glenwood Lutheran Church. The couple made their home and raised their five children in Glenwood. Jerry and Delores shared 48 years of marriage before he died on July 17, 2003.
Delores was employed at Lakeview Apartments as manager since 1996. She also worked at Lakeview Good Samaritan as a CNA for 10 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and participated in 38 state bowling tournaments through the United States Bowling Congress. In her free time she enjoyed bowling, knitting, reading, golfing and taking care of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Delores was a sweet and beautiful lady who was accepting of people for who they were. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her joy and good humor.
Delores died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Glacial Ridge Hospital. She is survived by her sons, Rodney (Lana) Leedahl of Alexandria, MN, Gary (Padi) Leedal, Steven (Peggy) Leedahl, and Larry Leedahl, all of Glenwood, MN; her daughter, Karilyn (Shawn) Mady of Glenwood, MN; 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Claire Foner of Blaine, MN; and her brother, Chauncey (Dorothy) Foner of Glenwood, MN, brother-in-law,Thomas Leedahl of Glenwood, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry M. Leedahl; her brother, Orville Foner; and two sisters, Virginia Howard and Karen Hoch.
