David Gene Boe
Casper-David Gene Boe, 55, died Saturday May 26 at Memorial Hospital of Natrona County following a lengthy illness.
He was born August 25, 1928 in Fortuna, N.D. the son of Olof and OlgaBoe. He married Delores Ann Bartels on February 20, 1954 in Deer Creek, Minn.
They moved to Casper in 1964 while he was employed by McCullough ToolCo. He later worked for the Little America Refinery for 15 years until his retirment in April 1983.
He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from November 1950 until November1952 when he received the Purple Heart.
Boe was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Casper and the Disabled Army War Veterans.
Survivers include his wife Delores, two sons, Gary and Mike and a daughter, Kathy Adams, all of Casper; his mother Olga of Deer Creek, Minn.; four brothers, Harlow and Charles of Casper and Elenius and Richardof Deer Creek; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Olof.
Funeral serviced will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church at fourth and Park Streets by the Rev. Thomas E. Smuda officiating. Burial will follow in the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
Donation to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund or the Blue Envelope Health Fund would be appreciated by the family.
