Glenrock-Services for Harlow L. Boe, 65, will be conducted at 10 a.m. today at Our Redemmer Lutheran Church by the Rev. Lyn Christensen from Zion Lutheran Church in Douglas. Military honors will be presentedby the Natrona County United Veterans Council. Cremation has taken place. Inturnment will take place at a later date in Oregon Trail State Veterans' Cemetery.
He died July 22, 2000, at his home in Glenrock.
He was born Nov. 11, 1934, in Fortuna, ND, the son of Olaf and Olga (Holt) Boe. On Dec. 13 1934, he was baptized into the family of Fod at Olso Lutheran Church in Fortuna, ND. When he was 15 years old, the family moved to Deer Creek, Minn.
He worked for Armours & Co. in St. Paul, Minn. until he joined the U.S. Army on Nov. 18, 1957. On Nov.14, 1959 he married JoAnn Leaders of Ottertail. They went into partnership with her parents in the turkey business and bought a turkey farm in Wadena, Minn.
He later moved to Casper with his three daughters and began working for Exxon, Pacific Corp. at Glenrock Coal.
On Jine 29, 2000, he married a second time to his good friend, Kate.
His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends, motorcycling and upholstery. He was a great man that many loved and respected, and he will be most known as an outstanding father.
Survivors include his wife, Kate Boe of Glenrock; three daughters, Tammy Boe, Tonette Boe and Robyn Lewis; one brother, Elly Boe of Deer Creek, Minn.; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, David, Richard and Charles Boe.
