Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 3, 1978 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.
OBITUARY: Letabelle Weedin
Letabelle Weedin, the daughter of Carl and Gertrude Shafer Herron, was born July 13, 1921 at Bradshaw, Nebraska. Her death occurred at Lincoln, Nebraska on April 30, 1978, following an illness of several months, at the age of 56 years, 9 months and 17 days.
The first few years of her childhood were spent in the vicinity of Bradshaw. In 1929 the family moved to Marquette, Nebraska, residing there until 1931, when they came to Aurora. She completed her education in the Aurora Public Schools, graduating from high school in 1939.
Letabelle had trained as a beautician and cosmetologist and had worked at her profession.
On December 2, 1947, she was united in marriage to Harlan Weedin in Grand Island. Two daughters were born to bless this home.
At an early age she affiliate with her family in the United Brethren Church, now the United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Gyle and Warren Herron.
Her survivors are her husband, Harlan Weedin; 2 daughters, Mrs. Jennifer Greenough of Schuyler and Paula Weedin of Denver, Colorado; 1 grandchild; her mother, Mrs. Gertrude Herron of Aurora; brother, Charles Herron of Aurora; 3 sisters, Mrs. LaVerne Bottorf of Colusa, California, Mrs. Roberta Vetter of Aurora and Mrs. Ramona Johnson of Tempe, Arizona; and other relatives and many close friends who will cherish her memory.
