Albert T. (buddy) Brownlee, 82, of Eucutta Sandersville Road, died Feb. 2, 2004, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oakland Grove Baptist Church in Jones County. A Masonic graveside service will follow in the Oakland Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Macon Phillips, the Rev. Lindsey Blackledge and the Rev. Jimmy Jones will officiate. He retired from Masonite Corporation after 25 years of service. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a charter member of Oakland Grove Baptist Church and a member of Breckenridge Masonic Lodge in Sandersville. He was a member of the W.F. W. Alex Box Post in Laurel. Mr. Brownlee was preceded in death by a grandson, Brent Brownlee. He is survived by his wife, Effie Lee Malone Brownlee of Heidelberg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Linda Brownlee and Wayne and Clara Brownlee, all of Heidelberg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Marvin Pitts and Angie and Dean Shedd, all of Laurel; sister, Estelle Williamson of Laurel; grandchildren, Brian Brownlee, Nathan Brownlee, Shannon Welch, Shelly Johnson, Tresa Pitts, Kim Harper, Sandi Raymond, Deshawn Shedd, and Brandon Shedd; five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Jackie Brownlee, Claude Brownlee, W. G. Brownlee, Glenn Clark, Ellis Haddad, and Timmy Brownlee. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. tonight at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
