Kattie H. Kelly, 99, of Laurel, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Wayne County. The Revs. Jimmy Jones and Raymond Clifton will officiate.
She was retired from Reliance Manufacturing and was a homemaker. She was a member of Plesant Grove Baptist Church in Wayne County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Oren Kelly; two sons, Oren Darrell Kelly and John Lester Kelly; a grandaughter, Paulette Kelly; a grandson, Eugene Kelly; and a great-great-grandchild, Micheal Anthony Kelly.
She is survived by one son, Victor C. "Pete" Kelly of Brandon; one daughter, Katherine Wooten of Laurel; one brother, Albert "Buddy" Brownlee of Heidelberg; two sisters, Martha Jones and Estelle Williamson, both of Laurel; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nices and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Wooten, Marvin Pitts Lou Kelly, Grant Kelly, Mitchell Kelly and Sam Kelly. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. today, Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
